What’s Your “Why”?

I’m guessing you have big goals and dreams. I know I do, and that’s probably why you’re here. Have you been at that point of frustration yet? Knowing you want something more for your family, knowing you want to do something about the situation you’re in, wanting freedom, wanting to be healthy, wanting to DO SOMETHING, but maybe not knowing what or how yet?

I’ve been there.

I’ve had that moment over and over (and over! – just ask my husband!)… being dissatisfied with where I was, but in a GOOD, push-you-further kind of way… Experiencing an intense desire to change my circumstances, experience true freedom, and satisfy the desires of my heart.

But I didn’t know where to start. So I started at the only place I could, and I hope you’ll take some time today to start this journey of discovering YOUR why. Everything else stems from it, and any future success you can have as a wife, mom, businesswoman or person is made all the sweeter if it drives to this one thought… Why?

I’ll start.

Family is my why, why I'm in business

Because I want to be home with my kids, raising them the way I feel is best. Because being the best mom and wife I can be starts with taking care of my physical, mental, and spiritual health so I have a full cup to give from. Because I have God-given skills and a desire to set and achieve mind-blowingly impossible dreams. Because I want to build a financial legacy and freedom for my family. Because being an entrepreneur should be more than just another stressful, high-paying job that I created for myself. Because I want to be able to gift my family with amazing experiences and travel earlier in life. Because I believe that every mom deserves to know how to do this, too.

My why, is why I created this community. This is the driving force behind all that I do, and the reason I get out of bed in the morning.

Figuring our your why, mommy blogger, mompreneur

I can’t do the work for you, but I can give you the tools and encouragement needed to do this too. Here are some quick tips for uncovering your why, my friends. I hope that you’ll think this through, jot down some notes, and begin to realize the incredible dreams God has for your life.

  • What keeps you up at night?
  • What gets you up in the morning? What would get you so excited about getting up in the morning that it would overpower your desire to sleep in?
  • When it comes to your “bad” habits, what kinds of things would stop those dead in their tracks?
  • What sets your soul on fire?
  • What makes you angry when you think about missing out?

To be effective, your why has to hurt or cause a strong emotional reaction. Your desire to change has to be stronger than your desire to stay the same.
